I MAY BE S.M.A.L.L The world is a big, wide place with lots of people. People with fur, but no pom. People with scales that made him jump in fright, and then people with gentle smiles and warm arms. Tuppo has been finding this out since he’d left the river behind him, and went on a journey with a strange woman with green eyes and gentle hands, Aeris. They’d left the forest with extra baggage, Vivi-whatever, but they’d gotten out and were in some place called Ikaros. Aerith said that she wanted to go into the trees, and see what it was like living in one.
Tuppo already knew, somewhat, and wasn’t all that interested, he’d told her. That had been a lie, of course. He hadn’t told her that he was scared, that Wyverns would come the second he went up there and he’d have to lose his friends and family all over again. So he stuck to the ground and wandered around, his little wings flapping behind him and the orange pom on his head bouncing up and down as he went about.
Settling in an area, he pulled out his sword and brandished it in the air, “I’ll patrol, Kupo! Who knows what heinous fiends are laying about, waiting to attack us from the shadows!” This was a bigger world, after all. His route in the forest would be nothing compared to the ones he’d have to make around here. There were so many places to hide, so many unknown monsters and people!
“TUPPO THE VALIANT SHALL WATCH OVER THE FURLESS ONES-KUPO!!” The sword in his small paw zinged through the air as he waved it about, spinning as he went up and down in the air. “EVIL DOERS BEWARE!” Then he was off—like a little bullet through the air. His red scarf trailed behind him, and he appeared like a red, white, and orange blur to anyone or anything that might be trying to find the source of all the ruckus being raised.
He flew and flew, until something harder than flesh stopped him. His face connected with the surface of a rock, slick with moss and plants that smeared all over his front and face, dirtying the red cloth. He slid down slowly, and hit the ground with a soft thump. “K-kupo-o-o…” The pom on his head drooped and he curled up, the sword fallen on the ground and forgotten.
That had hurt! The bump that was forming on his head wasn’t an extra pom, that was for sure. “W-what…?!” he looked up and was met with the rock staring back at him, and the moogle froze. Rocks don’t have eyes. It stirred, standing up and revealing that it had legs, and horns, and was very much a monster.
He had found one! “P-prepare yourself!!” He picked the sword back up, and floated back away from the position he had fallen in just moments ago.
The Dual Horn didn’t look to eager to let the little thing that had woken it up leave alive.

NOTES♥ Here's an Aura. Enjoy~
Aura was doing a little exploring of his own as he navigated his way among the bottom of the trees that happened to make up the base of the treetop town that he called home. It was partly out of a sense of adventure that couldn't be filled and partly due to his fear of heights that made him climb down to the ground. Every now and then the boy needed to climb down from his home and plant his feet on some solid ground otherwise he started to feel like a caged animal up there. In retrospect it was kind of funny that he lived up in the treetops and yet he was very much afraid of heights.
He had left a note behind for his grandfather saying that he wasn't going too far so he was pretty sure that the old man wasn't too worried about him. Of course Rau chided him for making the snap decision, but there wasn't much the spirit could do to stop the boy aside forcefully take possession of his body of course and well that was just plain rude. Bouncing around, Aura was practically dashing his way through the trees like some sort of mad person. While most people would have probably taken the time to take in the sights, Aura didn't bother. He was born and raised in this setting after all and just wanted to find something new to take interest in.
That was when the boy came across a scene that could only ever have been described as completely strange and out of the ordinary. There a few yards away from him was what appeared to be a tiny moogle challenging a giant monster with two horns to a battle. The boy was informed by Rau a few moments later that the monster was called a Dual Horn, but little details like that really didn't matter to the boy. For a few moments the boy simply stood there and gawked as the moogle held it's sword towards the beast. To be fair he couldn't help but to gawk at the scene seeing as this was nowhere near normal.
"You better not be thinking about helping. You'll end up getting yourself killed," Of course the boy ignored the ghost's warning in his ears as he got ready to lend a hand. He didn't know why Rau even bothered to try and stop him. The ghost should have known by now that it was really difficult to change the boy's mind when he had his mind set on doing something. Settling into an offensive stance, Aura recalled all of his training as he prepared to jump in. He was completely sure that he was able to help out even if Rau didn't think he was read.
"Can I lend a hand, Mister Moogle?" Without even waiting for an answer, the boy jumped into action and made an attempt to punch the Dual Horn in the face.

I MAY BE S.M.A.L.L Tuppo waved the sword around for a moment, his pom swinging back and forth as he stayed still. This was going to be a battle of wills—a test to see if he was the right kind of stuff to go outside of the forest, or if he needed to do some more training. Training that involved flying more, faster, and swinging his sword. He recalled the grueling hours, out in the heat and the cold, readying himself for the trial that he knew was going to be there to test his mettle—He was ready, Tuppo could show this monster who was boss! He was about to—his sword raising above his head, preparing for to use a skill of some sort or another, but the he froze midair. “Can I lend a hand, Mister Moogle?” A pomless one came out of nowhere, surprising him and making him lose his last few minutes of thought and then some. What was one of them doing out here, and charging a monster no less? (Not that he was one to talk, he was even smaller than the pomless one.) It caught the monster off guard, and the punch that he threw hit it. Its head swung to the side with the force, before turning slowly to look at the orange-wearing child that had hit it. “BE CAREFUL-kupo!” Tuppo half-yelled, half gasped out as he shook his little self out and regained his composure. He flew forward, his small black wings beating as fast as they could to get up close. The large weapon was above his head again and he brought it down on the Dual Horns head. It gave an ear ringing roar as its skull was abused with the heavy weapon and the earlier fist to the face from the child, looking even more enraged. It seemed to turn on the moogle, with its strike, and away from the pomless one, which had been Tuppo’s intention.
Was the little pomless thing okay in the head? Didn’t he know that engaging such a beast would end up with him more than a little hurt? (Once again, like he was one to talk.) Tuppo flipped the heavy blade in his hand, taunting the beast with a little wiggle of his body that resembled dancing almost. “Foolish Monster!! It looks like your rear end is heavier than your front, must not get around much, huh?!” The ball of fluff continued with his wiggle with words, and the beast roared and reared back, slashing out with its large claws.
It caught him, and he flew about to the side as it knocked him out of place in the air. “Ooff!!” Tuppo grunted, feeling the impact between the claws and the ground in his small body. It made him see stars that spun around and did a little jig, taunting him that he was weak and that he shouldn’t get back up. But he did, his little wings bringing him back up into eye-level with the Dual Horn. “You hit like a gardener!”

A resounding bang echoes from a bit farther off in the trees as a rifle's round lodges itself in the beast. The round explodes in a fiery fashion, leaving a scorch mark on the beast. A moment later a cocking sound is heard as a shell hits wood. As the scene pans away, it reveals a man looking down the iron sights of what looks to be a futuristic and heavily modified single round shotgun. As the wind blows through the leaves of his position, the brim of his hat flutters before revealing a smirk on his features, as the young man speaks loudly toward the group below.
"I like the spirit, but the banter could use some work my friend," the man states as he squeezes the trigger once more, unleashing another explosive round," But I believe we have a beast to put down, before it acquaints itself with our small town. I rather not see such lovely women terrified. It'll mar their beauty."

The blast scared Tuppo more than it angered the beast, his small body shooting up into the air as he let out a yelp. He brandished the weapon as he floated back down towards the ground, his lungs and heart beating a million miles an hour. The beast they were engaging turned towards the new disturbance, and Tuppo floated back behind it as it started to charge forward. The heavy, two handed weapon surged forward with him as he stabbed at it, and he shouted up above to where the human was. "Noisy-Noise maker, you're help is most appreciated!" If, not unwelcome to his pride. The beast was bigger than he initially thought he could handle, and whatever the brown-haired furless one was doing, it was working better than his strikes against its sides.
"Can the furless one do any better, then?" He challenged, his thoughts drifting back to the nearby village. Yes, they couldn't allow any harm to come to the people within it. This beast may have been minding its business in the beginning, but it was sure to do wrong some time in the future! He was sure of it, most certainly, and that selfish, cautious and overzealous notion invigorated him, the small moogle giving a war cry as he waved the sword once more.
Notes: Just gonna pass over Aura since he hasn't replied.

Standing quickly, the young man vaults the wooden railing, before landing on the branch and charging along it. Bracing his rifle, he takes aim once again as he slides down a nearby branch, firing another shot toward the beast. Another cock of the gun releases another shell from the chamber unto the forest floor. The skin of the beast was tougher than most. He didn't want to have to use an armor piercing round if he could avoid it.
"Can you get me an opening in the skin to hit, friend? I have a round that may save us a bit of trouble, but I'll admit I need a bit of assistance," the young man states," And the name is Irvine. Irvine Kinneas, and pleasure to meet you."
Allowing his magic to flow through him, he leaks it into his next round. His partner, Cerberus granted him the gift, even if the cost was rather high. Loading the round with Pain in it. It wouldn't instant kill his target, but he never did like the idea of instant death. Not after those times the spell got reflected. It was a memory that was faded, but he remembered that part vividly.

The large ax slowly tilted back behind his shoulder, and the moogle brought it back forward with a breathy grunt. A blast of flames hit the beast with the hasty swing that Tuppo had done, and the furry beast let it fall back on his shoulder and gauged it for a moment. An opening—that was what the furless one had asked for. "Tuppo-kupo!" the moogle introduced, because manners, his mind whispered with a wave of a finger and Tuppo had it ingrained in him. Even almost getting squished into moogle jelly, the moogle feared getting his cheeks pulled and lectured more so.
“Time to make one-kupo!” He roared and flew forward, the axe banging down on the Dual Horn. Once with a heavy swing; the monster roared in response and Tuppo felt the beginnings of his fur shake and he fluffed up, feeling a weight sink in his stomach. “You don’t,” he began, the weapon raising back up once more as he floated up into the air hastily, one of the large horns sweeping at him as the monster bucked forward, trying to impale him on it.
“You don’t scare me-kupo!” the ace came down and a chunk of its hard leather that had been keeping them at bay tore, blood splattering across his white fur as he bore down into the strike. “Now, furless one-kupo!”

Taking aim, his eyes close for a brief moment before he opens them for. His pupils dilate for a brief moment, before the shot is let loose, aether discharging from the rifle itself in a sickly blackish green color. As the round flies through the air leaving a trail of faintly glowing smoke, it lands directly in the fresh wound. A pregnant pause can be felt lingering in the air, before a rune explodes in the air colored in the same manner as the discharge of the gun.
"Pain," Irvine mutters softly, as the eyes of the beast cloud over, and its skin begins to tinge a sickly green. A glow of white aetherial energy begins to coalesce around his hand as he begins a deep breath. "Time to buy some time."
The slow spell begins forming as Irvine prepares it. His skill when it came to offensive magic was never the greatest, but status magic, he loved. It didn't require all that much magical skill. It just lasted longer in the hands of the more magically inclined. But for someone like him, where he needed only a clear shot, it afforded him quite a bit of leeway.
