Arthur Frost

Class/Classes: Arthur is what would be known as a variant of the Warrior. He tends to use a large sword or a mace. However he uses the Skill Set of the warrior and/or Gladiator and uses the skills in such a way that they apply for a sword or mace, usually using Gladiator for when using a sword and Warrior when using a mace/axe.

Arthur Frost was originally from the wonderful forests of Ikaros, where he spent most of his childhood. In this childhood he was taught by his father to wield a sword and how to climb trees along with hunting using traps and snares. The young boy spent the majority of his young life doing such things while his mother was always at home cleaning or cooking or reading she was always doing something to occupy her time.

It was only when Arthur reached the age of ten that his father spoke to his mother about actually sending him to get an education. So, they did just that, they sent him off to Ranoe where he'd attend a boarding school and learn there about the world at the current time. He also learned math and English and various other things that a lot of children in the world of Oephus didn't get to, so he didn't take them for granted.

Once Arthur graduated from the school at eighteen he was given a job right away being a merchant, however the job was a bit perilous as it required moving from town to town selling wares and even if this was to be his life he didn't mind it so much. At least he'd never get bored. It was at this time that Arthur started to make his way back to Ikaros to see his parents. When he did however all he found were their graves, they'd passed away due to illness while he was gone. He only hoped that in time he could make them proud.

By the time Arthur was twenty-one he had given up the travelling merchant profession and instead had taken on the guise of an adventurer, doing tasks that required him to clear out beasts from areas or hunting marks down, or retrieving items of value so on and so forth. Some might call it mercenary work but he called it adventuring. At the end of the day he was going on an adventure each and every time to get things done for others. One such time took him near Lake Awik and he went for a swim only to nearly drown in the lake, he's not sure how he managed to survive but he did and he climbed on up the shore only to vow never to go near the lake again. He now takes large detours around the lake.

Eventually though he met his to be wife, Elysia, she was all of twenty-two and he at this point was twenty-four. The two hit it off quite well and he'd forgotten the girlfriends he'd had in the past. It was however at this point that he gave up adventuring and settled down in Y'n Bay since there was plenty of work there. Within two years the woman fell pregnant. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and the family of three was now complete in Arthurs eyes. He was happy to be a father and in time he taught his son what his father taught him.

However when his son hit sixteen Arthurs wife became extremely ill with something that wouldn't go away, doctors didn't have a cure and Arthur knew just as well as she did that she would only live for so long. In turn after a small argument between Elysia and the son, when he hit seventeen and wanted to move away to start his own life they agreed that it would be for the best. After all, she would only live for so long and she didn't want her son to see her in pain. Once their son moved away, Elysia spent the next two years in hospital before she finally passed away, in the last week Elysia tried to get their son to come and see her and even though it had been two years since the argument the boy wouldn't show up. He thought that his mother was simply using an illness as an excuse.

When Arthur two days later contacted him, he finally realized that something was wrong and he rushed to come and see her. Sadly he was too late. The woman passed away in her bed the day before he arrived having said her good byes to Arthur who was utterly silent when the boy arrived. Arthur wasn't as talkative as he used to be. The loss took its toll almost immediately and although it took a good six months to really get over it, he did.

Now he simply spends most of his time in Y'n Bay with his dog. He's had the black labradoodle (named Chip) for ten years. Now Arthur's forty-seven, his son is twenty-three and the young man lives in Meia. He's been there ever since the death of his mother and he refuses to leave. So Arthur's giving up hope for his son. He does still visit the boy though.
