| As Dani arrived in Dratia she had become a he almost immediately, and he figured now that maybe he could lay low and just stay out of the way of Riku if the silver haired idiot came through here. Honestly? Dani was just mad that Riku didn't seem to understand what he was trying to get at so now the Earthy haired Zayen was on their own again. Just how he liked it. Of course being in Dratia meant no one really asked questions, pinwheel eyes aside he didn't get much in the way of grief and he was able to find a nice quiet shrine to sleep in. There was a problem there however, he needed to get the hell out by the time it hit six in the morning as the shrine maidens came around that time to clear the shrine and make it so that those visiting were able to pray to deities if they wanted to do so. He did help of course, he wasn't rude so he picked up bits of litter and things that were laid around the shrine while he was around in the evening to put it in the trash. "Hope Becca and Lynn are all right. Maybe they'll find something good out there on their expeditions... And I hope they take care of him too, stupid kid." Yes Dani despite looking young wasn't at all young by human standards if anything Dani was an old man or old woman depending on what gender he was at the time. He just looked young. As he sat there at the shrine in silence watching the shrine maidens do what they did he mentally mimicked the actions, maybe if he were female he could be a shrine maiden? That way he could stay at the shrine whenever he wanted, perform tea ceremonies and things and ultimately have a home? That's what he was looking for after all. Home. Somewhere to call home. Then again there was the issue he was a foreigner and he didn't know too much about the culture so that was against him. Never mind, this wasn't the best option for him right now when he thought about all that. That however was when he heard it. Footsteps coming his way and his head immediately turned, most of the time footsteps were calm and relaxed and were idle but those footsteps sounded as if the person had a goal, maybe a late Shrine Maiden? Dani wasn't sure but when his eyes landed on someone he recognized he panicked. A loud squeak erupted from the short Zayen before he made a break for it and took to hiding behind something. So, now he was hidden he just waited for the person to pass. Mentally Dani cursed himself, especially since it was the ONLY hiding spot he could've taken. So he doubted he was going to be able to stay there and not be caught. When a silhouette appeared over the edge he just offered a nervous smile before he was pulled out of his hiding spot. "... Was hoping you'd have gone right by..."
Notes Well since you wanted a Dani and Riku thread here ya go.

HEAVEN'S GATES WON'T OPEN UP FOR ME
Riku let out a sigh wondering what it was he was doing and if it was even the right thing right now. He had started out heading with Becca and Lynn listened to the two of them and even picked up a bit along the way, but as much as he understood what was said back then he couldn't just forget it. Plus part of him just didn't want to leave things the way they had been, so here he was wondering again. He had decided not to join their expedition and instead he was out looking for someone who he was pretty sure didn't want to see him anyway. He ran his fingers through his head as he stood at the entrance of the Dratia village. He had been following bits and pieces of information that he had gotten here and there on where Dani could have gone. It was a bit easier than he thought it would be, since like Lynn and Becca had said wasn't that hard to notice someone with red hair and pinwheel eyes roaming around. So he'd followed the trail all the while trying to figure out just what he would say or how he would react if he had managed to actually catch up with her again. Part of him was still upset about the fact that things had turned out the way they had, both from his pushing and hers as well. He last clue had said that Dani was heading toward this direction and since this was the only village in the area it was the likely place to stop and rest. That was unless she was doing her nonstop traveling thing, then he would really have problem catching up to her. He asked around a bit if anyone had saw Dani or a place that someone traveling through might stop to rest. He that was how he found out about the shrine, he would check there for her and if nothing else than he would at least have some place to rest. He made it to the shrine and was looking around about to ask one of the maiden if they had seen her when he caught sight of someone red dashing away from the corner of his eye. He didn't think he just moved and rushed toward the figure. He found him hiding and pulled him out looking at him. So he had gone back to his male form, that explained why no one had noticed a female when he asked. He should have thought of that but at least he found him "I guess you aren't that lucky." Riku sighed slightly and he looked at him "You know you aren't an easy person to follow, though I guess that's the point. Anyway I wanted to talk to you again." He looked off to the side and back "Though I haven't really figured out just what it is I want to say, or more so the right way to say it."He looked back at Dani and tilted his head to the side "Also give me a chance before you try and run on me this time." He smiled at him trying to figure out just how to do this. signed, @tagged | |

| Drug from his hiding spot the red head kept his head down, he didn't really want to speak to this person, if anything he just wanted to avoid them. Wanted to go and find a place to call home. "I guess you aren't that lucky." The Zayen said nothing, instead opting to stay silent and shove his hands in his pockets as he stared at his own shoes. It was as if they were the most interesting thing in the entire world right now because he just didn't want to deal with this and so help him, he would run if he needed too. "You know you aren't an easy person to follow, though I guess that's the point. Anyway I wanted to talk to you again." Dani felt his eyebrows turn down at the center, a frown, why, why follow? Why did he want to talk to Dani? Why didn't he go find his friends? Why didn't he leave Dani alone? "Though I haven't really figured out just what it is I want to say, or more so the right way to say it." Dani shook his head and sighed. Honestly? He just wanted silence. That'd be nice right now but if he didn't say something he'd just look rude. "Also give me a chance before you try and run on me this time.""Right... Look, you don't seem like a bad person but... I dunno, friends are more important than some stranger you meet. I'm not sure if it's because you saw me as some damsel in distress or not but regardless I really don't need the help. I can fight. I can survive. I have done for longer than you've even been alive." He explained, and slowly lifted his head up. "So for someone like me... Being babied like we're a teenager who has no grasp of the world... Well.. It's pretty insulting." He rubbed the back of his neck as he tried to explain. "I get I should've explained it better and you were just trying to help but it was like you weren't listening. I really don't need the help and I just want to find a place I can stay permanently... I refuse to live in fear and yes I'm stubborn but it doesn't seem like you're any better really. I mean... You followed anyway... Even though it was pretty clear I was mad. But I guess the walk did me good 'cause I'm not mad anymore just... Weary." With that said Dani waited. Riku did request that he give him a chance to actually talk after all but instead of waiting in one spot he took Riku's wrist and gave a gentle tug before he started walking. Walking and talking sounded like a good idea, more so to Dani because hopefully their feet would take them somewhere they could eat. Dani wasn't exactly large frame wise and he honestly needed to eat more, he wasn't healthy by a long shot and that ultimately effected his fighting performance. Then again what do you expect of a person from Snoweholme who's used to living on very little in the way of food?
Notes and done.
