Notes: Well here's a post from Becca, enjoy.
| To say she liked Lake Awik would've been stupid, insanely so, but she was here now and she would stay for a while until she needed to move on with her life. She'd only come here because it was on the way to where she wanted to go. She'd taken a long route through Dratia and to here but she had yet to reach the Laaz Basin and that was her destination at the moment. Mostly so she could just relax a little bit and maybe do a little writing or dance practice. She did miss dancing.
Though sitting here now her eyes shifted to the water as she lobbed a stone in to it and it sank rather fast.
A breeze caught her hair and moved it out of her face while she herself sat there quietly, as quiet as a mau. She had to wonder just how many souls had been lost in that moment in history, how many lives vanished that day and were snuffed out all because of greed and selfishness. Innocent children, mothers, fathers, entire families. Now their bodies were rotting beneath the water. In fact, their bodies were probably gone by this point. If not it'd certainly cause a stink if they were pulled out.
"Kinda sad... The area's so full of sorrow but the scenery is so beautiful..." She mused to herself as she sat there, she could draw this. Well. Attempt to. It was a beautiful sight and sadly the history behind the place just caused it to become morbid. The silence. The emptiness.
So still, as if waiting for a chorus of voices to rise from the water depths.
She wasn't going to go in though. Not a chance. Instead she slowly rose from her spot and she took a moment to sigh but it was then that she heard footsteps so her gaze shifted.
"Hi there..."

FILLED IT UP WITH NOVOCAINE
Blaise wasn't exactly sure what had possessed him to come out to Lake Awik. Logically he had no reason to set foot in this area, but for some reason he found his feet moving of their own accord. It wasn't like this was an area that held any sort of emotional attachment for him. Sure the history behind the lake was sad, but he wasn't moved by the emotion known as sorrow. Still it was baffling to think that so many lives were snuffed out due to simple greed.
Still from this point in his walk he wasn't too far away from the Laaz Basin. That was always a fun place to visit for him and he had always liked watching the water. That wasn't to say that the waters of Lake Awik wasn't a beautiful sight too, but there was just too much sadness surrounding the place for it to actually be enjoyable. His tails trailed behind him as a soft breeze blew a few stray strands of his hair in his eyes. For a few moments he was walking in silence until a distinctly female voice spoke up.
"Hi there..." Looking not to far ahead of himself, Blaise spotted a black haired woman. It looked like she was the one talking to him judging from the fact that this wasn't an area that most people liked to pass through. Curiosity as to why she was out here when not many people visited this place crossed his mind, but he quickly shot the thought down. He would have sounded like a hypocrite if he asked her that. After all he was also in the area despite technically having no real reason to come.
"Hello there~" He greeted pleasantly while waving his right hand and keeping his left hand inside his pocket. "I'm not intruding on some sort of moment am I?" With that question said Blaise went about brushing aside a few stray strands of his hair away from his eyes. Perhaps he was being presumptuous, but most people didn't come out all this way unless they were passing through or if they had a good reason. Perhaps she was just passing through like he was? Blaise wasn't sure at the moment so it certainly didn't hurt him any by asking.

Notes: Sorry this took so long, games been distracting me and shit. Also sorry it's so short but hopefully it gave you something to reply to? | Well she had spotted someone it seemed, calling them out caused them to actually respond, with a hello and now she took in the persons appearance. Slender, white hair with fox ears and tails. So a Lobo person then, not that it mattered, the dragoon was probably a baby in retrospect really.
"I'm not intruding on some sort of moment am I?" She chuckled.
"Nope." Was the response given. She was pretty relaxed and her eyes shifted back to the scenery at hand.
"Not everyday you see someone out this way,"
"That's true enough but I'm just passing through, came from Dratia, headed to Laaz Basin. This just happened to be along the way and my legs were aching so I took a moment to just sit down and enjoy the view." She explained. Honestly she had nothing to hide so why not explain in full? It made sense to her really. Plus the place was pretty nice looks wise it was just the sense of somberness that made it a little undesirable.
"Has a sort of sad feel to it though, but if you can get past that? Well it's quite a beautiful sight." She nodded and then leaned back till she was laid down staring at the skies above. The clouds rolling over head were quite nice to her. A small smile played on her face before she turned her head towards the other person who was here.
"So, you got a name or should I just call you Foxy? I'm Becca." She introduced herself, it made sense to her to do so, mostly because of the fact that if she were going to have a conversation, she may as well know the persons name. If it was going to just be short 'n' sweet? Well there was no point but something gave her the feeling this wasn't going to be so short.

So as it turned out he really wasn't intruding on any sort of moment he shouldn't have been. That was good to know though in the long run he probably wouldn't care that much about it. Even if he was intruding he probably would have stuck around after all. Despite the sadness that was connected to this place's background Lake Awik was still a beautiful sight. Not only was this place isolated away from civilization as not that many people visited it, but watching the water was a tranquil activity even with the air of sadness.
Blaise nodded his head at her explanation for the reason for why she was out this way. That was completely understandable in his mind. While it was true that he didn't go out to Dratia too often, Blaise completely understood just how tiring traveling could get. There were times that he just wanted to stop and relax after a long days walk. Not like she needed to explain her reasoning to him of course, but nonetheless he understood it. Perhaps it was time for him to take a break from walking and just rest his legs too? The thought certainly was tempting.
"Understandable. It's about the same for me though I have no specific destination in mind," Likewise he really didn't feel like he had anything to hide. "Yeah though if you push the somber air aside the lake is lovely to watch,"
Then she made the comment about calling him Foxy and he just chuckled in amusement. It probably wouldn't have been the first time in his life that someone had tried to call him that, but it always was amusing to him. Truthfully he didn't really care what any one person called him, but his name was the preferable option. Making sure that he wasn't about to sit down on his tails by mistake, Blaise sat down in a spot where he could get a good view of the lake. Returning the smile with one of his own, Blaise busied his hands with his hair before he answered her.
"If you really want to call me Foxy then knock yourself out, but my name is Blaise," He replied with a grin before he leaned back in order to watch the clouds. Cloud watching was always a peaceful affair for him when he found the time for it. Whether or not he usually had time for cloud watching was another thing alltogether. When he wasn't traveling he was tending to his flowers after all. When he wasn't tending to his flowers he was usually searching for types of seeds that he had never seen before.
"Cloud watching really is a rather peaceful activity isn't it?" It was just smalltalk, but he really had nothing better to do and it was a good way to pass the time. TAGS: @rebecca || WORDS: Not counting || NOTES: Hope it's an alright reply |

She didn't particularly have one either really, she just needed to find a new lance and then she'd be off on her expedition with Lynn.

"True 'nough really, I never was one for sadness, realism sure but when it's almost like this place just has y'know... What'd be corrupted Aether that makes the place feel off, it just doesn't make sense. I mean we all use Aether if people felt so bad about it they'd stop using magic so it's just false sorrow." She shrugged a little bit and she rested one arm on top of a bent knee her other arm being used to prop herself up.

"Blaise, that's actually a nice name think I prefer that over Foxy to be honest." She chuckled a little bit before she arched a brow at him staring at the sky.
"Cloud watching really is a rather peaceful activity isn't it?"
"Can be I guess? I like watching the stars at night... When you travel a lot you can see them pretty well outside of towns. Oddly I've never really tried watching the clouds apart from when I was a little kid... I wonder if I'm still able to make shapes from things." She commented as she looked up and then slowly laid on her back again to see if she could indeed still make shapes with her imagination and clouds. Honestly? Becca wished Lynn were here, after all she did enjoy the witches company.
"So Blaise, how come you don't have a destination? Just like to roam around?" She asked before she went on to explain a little more.
"I'm headed to Laaz to see if I can find a new lance or pointers in the right direction to get a new one. Then once I'm all set, myself and a friend are off to explore the Eastern Continent... It needs to be explored." She seemed pretty excited about that really and with it said she stared at the sky.
"That one looks like a heart." She lifted an arm and pointed atthe could in question.
