>>LEATHERWORKER<< >>MINER<< >>CARPENTER<< Personality Everyone’s first impression of Lumi is silent. She always appears to be thinking of something important, but pays attention when someone asks something of her. She's reliable too, because she seems to get things done. Slowly. Very Slowly. Extremely, pathetically, slowly, but they don’t seem to notice that. They don’t seem to see that the adventurer is a scatterbrain, in reality. Staring into space? She’s thinking about whether or not she wants fried Chocobo, or if she wants to get exotic and hunt some Morbol. Decisions, decisions…. Don’t knock it till ya try it! That request you gave her? Behind five others that require her to skip across the continent to get it done. IF it gets done—sometimes, in the end, they take days, or weeks. It varies on if she really wants to go to that area. Food choices are dependent on what you can hunt, after all, and she isn’t about to give gil out for something she can hunt and fix herself. She likes helping people in need, because really, it comes with the job, but there are so many people wanting things done, and she just has so much space in her head that isn’t filled with nonsense. (Like how that ladybug she tried last week tasted. Yuck.) To her enemies, she’s a real piece of work. Hard as a primal to kill, and just as fierce when you put her on the spot. There’s mercy, in some cases where she thinks it’s needed, but a lot of times its shoot-first-ask-questions-later way of dealing things with her.
Appearance History Born in the isles south of Ala Mhigo in the Jade Sea, Lumi knew naught of the outside world before leaving. Her father was a Hyur fisherman, and her mother was an Au Ra from the mists. She doesn’t recall much about them, aside from days under the sun and surrounded by the scent of the sea. With the fall of Ala Mhigo to the Garleans that came not too long ago, the isle that her and her family lived under fell under the empire rule as well. It didn’t affect them immediately, but when the ships started to come, and small islands were razed when they refused to submit, her parents must have decided to send her off on a ship away. They didn’t come with her. Lumi remembers the rocking of the ship, and leaving the sweet smell of island flowers and sea salt behind. She doesn’t remember where her home was, what it was called, or what it looked like. Everything before the day she landed sailed away is a white blur, left on the sands of her home. When she came onto Ul'dah, she fell in love the with vast city. At the gates, she was directed to the adventurers guild where she put her name in ink (For the first time, actually!) Lumi doesn't even know if that's her real name, but it was what she had managed to put together with her backwater knowledge and lack of memory of, well, everything. Lumi entered the Pugilist' guild, arming herself with hardened fists and a blazing passion that burned bright. Over time, she became to be known as one of the many Warriors of Light to the people of Eorzea, and soon enough, the island-girl was racing to meet expectations everywhere. It burned her out, though, real fast. That burning passion had cooled, and she was left at a standstill for a long time, a time that she spent in the forests of Gridania. In the capital, she met a group, or another guild, the Archer's Guild. She took to the bow there to pass her time, but after holding it for a few short days, she had quickly become attached at the hip with it. Quickly she began to rise back up, leaving behind her worries about meeting the expectations of others far behind her when she had become a bard, a travelling minstrel. >>END OF WHAT SHE REMEMBERS<< She joined a group called the Cobalt Claw, and, there, she'd come back time and time again to talk with her friends that seemed to be able to put up with her whacky tastes and personality. They all became her comrades in arms, and they've all fought together for the same thing, although a lot of them not at the same pace. Lately, in a fit of needing to explore, Lumi had taken to travelling about on the continent and listening to the sounds of the wild. Unable to bear the sting of the snow, she didn't come back until she was called on by. It was told to her that their leader, Razaphale, Cid, Zest, and a few others had gone missing, and the last time some of them had been seen was the Sagolii Desert. Lumi travelled to see what she could make of it, and on the way, she was attacked by a group of monsters. Like she had been pulled into the Void, Lumi disappeared and fell into the world of Oephus, her memories in a jumble and her priorities... well, they were the same as ever. Sing a song, eat good food, and enjoy life. Lumi's been doing that in Serket Tradepost since she arrived; having quite the fall from the sky that may or may have not given her brain damage. Even if the people of the town seem to expect her to pay her way just fine (The bard could, if she didn't spend it on so much food.) Lumi likes it there just fine, and isn't really itching to leave. Even if the other her in the back of her head is telling her to go find something, someone. She'll just... work on the rest, like finding her memories, a little at a time as it came. No use rushing what she didn't understand. RP Sample The sound resounded throughout the forest, lulling the trees to a sleep that made them slump and groan. The animals chittered and chattered, all heading in the same direction; a way that led them right at the foot of a tree that glowed white with the a withered bark of age, its leaves long gone but several branches snaking out from its trunk. One of of them, sat a woman with a harp snug between her chest and an arm, the other plucking at the strings. "Over' the hills, to a land unknown, I met a bear, with fur as snow," The dark hat tipped back from her face as she leaned to lay down on her back, "he told me that, every once and a while, you just gotta go." A squirrel darted up the trunk, braver than the rest and latched onto her leg, climbing up to settle on her stomach and curled up. Her fingers paused in the playing, and Lumi looked around at the gathering she hadn't noticed before. "..." I'll feel bad if I try to eat any of them now... gonna have to wait till I leave the forest, it seems. Thin fingers started moving again, across the strings and her attention went back to it. "You just gotta go, but don't forget your way back." Other ACCEPTED Characters Played by LIGHT template by Razz of KHR |
