Elementals
Elementals come in two forms SPIRITS and NON-SPIRITS. Both types can sense aetheric pressure, so they'd be able to identify things/people which are not from Oephus, even if it's not super pin point accurate, they can also sense aetheric imprints from the usage of magic or abilities however over time this fades, the longer it is till they come across it the less likely they are to notice it, unless of course it left a large imprint i.e. god level, however they usually are discreet about it.
SPIRIT -see first picture-
Spirits are more often than not found to be in a more primal form, where they embody their element completely and they don't stray out of their element. When they're in their more humanoid form, they may have tell tale traits such as a fishes tail, or bits of dirt caked in to what would be skin, or they may simply form as an orb with their elemental aether floating around them. They have a natural affinity for their chosen element and they have a shield so to speak from that element lowering all damage they take from the element by 75%.
Spirits are able however to choose what gender they take, however this choice is made at the beginning of their life cycle.
These types of Elementals are rarely seen because they try not to dabble in the affairs of mortals. They live for around ten thousand to eleven thousand years, unless they can attune themselves with their element to the fullest in which case they can live immortally for thousands of years unless killed they simply condense their elemental aether down to a point where it can be used to survive for as long as they want to. Though they do triple damage with all spells in their element they take triple all damage from their polar opposite element. They cannot use healing abilities unlike their non-spirit counterparts, not only that but they can be 'harvested' for their aetheric charges.
Since they know this and have in the past had people harvest them for no good reason they tend to only stick to 'Devil Island'. Both Spirits and Non-Spirits have an appreciation for music and have been known to get along with faeries.

NON-SPIRIT -see second picture-
Non-spirit elementals often are human in physical appearance (though Zayen and any race barr dragons and faeries can become one), however, they're people who've either been fed the aetheric charge of an elemental spirit, were born with the traits of a non-spirit elemental or they were with a spirit when it's time was up (usually requires them to have talked to the spirit and made it content with it's life to the point where it hands it's aetheric charge over and gives them the power of the elementals).
When they actually tap in to that elemental aether their body usually shows signs of it, eye color might change, ice might encase their hands or parts of their body even their hair turning white if they're ice based, in the case of fire they might have flecks of flame dancing around them or even be encased in the element itself.
In their normal human state they do regular damage and can use whatever class/abilities they have learned, they can also learn basic healing. More often than not you might find them being a red mage, or even a black mage, possibly a white mage. However once they activate their elemental charge, they can no longer access any abilities other than their elemental ones and a single cure. They don't do as much damage as their Spirit counter part doing double damage but they also take double damage from their polar opposite. They also aren't shielded from their element as much as a pure spirit would be, they take 25% less damage from their own element.
Wind, Lightning and fire have the advantage of flight.
Water and Ice have the advantage to breath under water and are expert swimmers able to keep up with ships though Ice can simply form a thick enough layer of ice beneath their feet that they can walk across seas and oceans.
Earth can literally move underground so long as there's no concrete or anything building like in the way and have a natural compass.
They can also use their elemental charge in everyday life to help with various things such as chilling drinks in the case of ice, or warming themselves in cold weather in the case of fire.
Both Spirits and Non-Spirits have an appreciation for music and have been known to get along with faeries. Non-Spirit elementals are free to move too and from the Village of Spirits on 'Devil Island' and their life span usually lasts around 7500 years unless they can attune themselves with their element to the fullest (like their counterparts) in which case they can live immortally for thousands of years unless killed they simply condense their elemental aether down to a point where it can be used to survive for as long as they want too.
