Rika Volkov  Titles: N/A Age: 14 (Almost 15, looks to be around 13) Gender: Female Race: Psiren Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual World: Oephus Disposition: Neutral Battle Information Class/Classes: N/A Personality Rika is a victim of abuse in Meia and because of that she's prone to having moments of silence and awkwardness when she thinks she's done something wrong. She's always mentally preparing herself to be hit or burned for things she thinks she's done wrong and she's extremely sensitive to shouting or yelling. When yelled at by an adult she'll look like she's about to cry but she won't because crying got her in trouble, instead she'll wait till the adult is gone and then cry to her hearts content. When on her own she can be very wary or panicky around people she doesn't feel safe with. When this is the case (thanks to the influence of good adults) she will explode in to a fit and call for her adopted father. If that fails then she'll fight till she can't any more because she now understands that she is worth something and she's not a dog like she was treated in Meia. She's not however physically strong so she'd find it difficult to fight someone who's used to fighting. That and she's a child still really and sometimes she's not very quick to understand. She is however intelligent when it comes to forming plans of attack. Strategic and even if she doesn't understand other things she'd probably be good in a hunting party when she's older if this strategic skill doesn't falter.

History Rika was born to a mother and father who were servants in a household in Meia. However in that household the servants were treated very badly, beatings and even executions were a common thing, a lot of innocent blood was shed in the household and the 'lord and lady' of the estate as they called themselves frowned upon the pregnant woman who would bear a child. Given the child would be psiren the lord and lady of the house would raise it to follow commands and do as it was told, to sing upon command and once old enough have it perform for people. As soon as the little girl was born she was snatched from the arms of her mother. Of course the mother was distraught but she was put back to work as soon as possible with the promise that she could see her daughter when she did a good job, with that the mother did everything she was told to, all to see her little girl. This went well enough, and even the father got to see his little girl, but when they started throwing the child in the dog pen and feeding her dog food not to mention the fact they cut her wings off before she could remember having them. For the best part of her life Rika spent her time in that pen, caged up like an animal, only eating after the dogs had eaten and only being allowed out to help clean and do other chores. If she messed up she was beaten or burned and she has scars over most of her body. Eventually enough was enough, more so when the lord and lady of the house were going to let their son use the nameless girl as his personal pet. When that was found out, the father hatched a plan to get the girl out. He didn't tell the mother because she would've wanted the girl to stay with her regardless so he got the girl out and he told her to run. He told her never to look back and to keep going even if she thought she couldn't. She did as she was told, sadly her father was executed for aiding in an escape and her mother committed suicide soon after from depression and the feeling she couldn't live on any more without her child or her significant other. During the girls travels she lost her shoes and she cut her feet, not only that but she was attacked by wolves and sustained injuries. It wasn't until she reached Y'n Bay that someone helped her, Nikolai Volkov, he gave her his last name and gave her a first name. She's been living with him ever since and has come to see him as her father. Currently they're living in Thion but hopefully in the future she'll grow up to be a good young woman.
