Elves
The Elves are said to be tall standing at around 6'0 - 6'7 for tall males and 5'5 - 6'2 for tall females. They're also very fair in all attributes of their appearance unless they've dabbled in dark magic, those who use dark magic can be told apart from other Elves as their skin is unnaturally black, and their hair is bleached white but this is the price that those elves pay for the use of dark magic.
Elves can live up to ten thousand years old making them one of the most long lived races in Oephus, they've actually been around longer than the Deities themselves. However those who are around today wouldn't be able to tell you how the Deities came to be. They are however always taught to respect the Deities should they ever be in the presence of one.
Elves are extremely secluded and they rarely if ever leave the confines of Serutia and the forests/land it encompass, they know little of the outside world and they don't want to know either, if a young elf is curious they're simply reminded that humans live out in the world. They're also told that they need to be careful of all the dangers if they are to eventually adventure out in to the world.
Because of all the wrongs the humans of this world have done the Elves are extremely wary of them and do not trust easily. Some stereotype humans more than others but they are all wary of humans and unless it's proven that a human can be trusted they won't trust.
Elves tend to have blonde, white, or light colored hair, with blue, green, or other light colored eyes. You won't find one with brown hair or dark colored eyes unless they're a half breed, half-breeds are frowned upon but are welcomed back to Serutia. As mentioned previously the only time you find an elf with very dark skin is if they've been meddling in dark magic.
Elves are extremely good magic casters, they do well with healing and elemental magic. They however do not do well with status effect magic or summoning magic. They're also very good with the bow they are the best bowmen/bowwomen in the world of Oephus. However their talent with the sword and other strength based skills is very very limited. Where as the elves have natural talents for the aforementioned magic and bow, if they wished to be a swordsman or swordswoman they would need to train very hard and leave Serutia to find a good tutor.
The elves took part in a battle around a thousand years ago, one that cost many elven lives and human lives alike though the elves won that war, their queen Eirtin Tha'sandre was killed during this battle and her son Naal Sen Tha'sandre now sits on the throne. He has turned in to a wise and fair leader in regards to HIS people, albeit racist against any other race. It has also been noted in the history books of the Elves that this war called simply as the 'Kinu War' was one of the darker moments of Elven history and since then the Elves haven't taken part in any wars, instead opting to live peacefully with nature now that their human neighbours of the Hauria Mines are gone.
Elves don't have children very often this is the only reason why Elves aren't the dominant species on the planet, they tend to only have a child every 200 - 400 years.
Playable Elves must be a thousand years old or younger.
Elven fcs can be difficult to find, because of this we allow fully human looking FCs however, we will require that you state that their ears are pointed in the Notable Features part of the app or you might be able to ask someone to edit an image for you.
You won't ever see elven hermaphrodites, this is because magic will be used at birth to change the gender of a hermaphrodite to a set gender within a few days of birth to stop any bad omen or if the parents are very very superstitious they'll kill the child despite how much pain they'll cause themselves as the child is a bad omen, or if they're especially stern it'll be because they see the child as unclean or a mutation.
