This is all just testing text to see how it looks on the mini-profile, mostly so that others see.

RP & CHARACTER CREATION RULES
READ TEMPLATE INFORMATION
Anything that isn't in here will be on the character template.
Cursing
If you're going to curse or swear then we do not want it to be excessive. There are exceptions, Cid Highwind is an example.
Limitations
We ask that people make a canon character before apping an original character but if you really cannot rp as a canon character then an OC is acceptable.
Once you have a canon character you can make as many OCs as you like. You are however limited to 3 main canons, i.e. characters who are crucial to the main story line of a game and 3 sub-canons, there is no limitation on Original characters, however if you pick up characters and don't use them you will be warned. If you're unsure if a character is a main canon then please ask a staff member.
Races
Here on FFD we expect all members to use the Races as guidelines for building their Original Characters.
If the character you are making is a pre-existing final fantasy race from a specific world your character will have to be from that world and stick to that races lore/outlines and guidelines.
If however you see a race on this site that is from Oephus that you would like to play, as a resident of this world you will adhere to the race outlines/guidelines, anything outside of those outlines/guidelines will need to be discussed with staff. Any characters that are simply for looks alone and have absolutely nothing to do with their races outline/guidelines will be set as pending until changes are made.
If you want to add LORE for their home town, then you will need to contact Admin to get it approved. Failure to ask before you complete your character app will result in your app not being approved until the lore you want added is decided upon. If the admin says no, then it means no, it isn't debatable. It is much advised to ask before you write your app as you could complete an entire character based on your own lore and have the lore denied, this means you'd need to rewrite the entire character and your work would have been a waste of time.
Third Person
We ask that you use the third-person narrative. Third-person narration provides the greatest flexibility to the author and thus is the most commonly used narrative mode in literature. In the third-person narrative mode, each and every character is referred to by the narrator as "he", "she", "it", or "they", but never as "I" or "we" (first-person), or "you" (second-person). So please no second or first person narrative.
Sexual Content
If there are threads where things get hot and heavy do a time skip, time skips are wonderful things. Kissing, hugging, groping is all fine so long as you don't go in to excessive detail. Sex is not fine, which is why we ask you to do a time skip. (Abide by the ToS)
Gary Stu/Mary Sue
Mary-Sue//Gary-Stu, in literary criticism and particularly in roleplay and/or fanfiction, these two are an original character with overly idealized and hackneyed mannerisms, lacking noteworthy flaws, and primarily functioning as a wish-fulfillment fantasy for the writer. They're the overly nice, fall over themselves, perfect man or woman that can do no wrong no matter how cruel something is to them. They're forever nice and generally have no depth to their personality. They also seem to hone in on canonical characters, HAVING to rp or be with them, have a connection. Click here for more definitions. No one likes them, sometimes they don't even realize they're a Sue or Stu. Please try and make the character you're making seem more real, everyone has something that sets them off apart from people hurting their friends or loved ones. ._.
Links to Canons
NO LINKS TO CANONS, If you're making an original character either ASK first or wait to be asked if your character can have a connection to them OR just DON'T DO IT! It isn't nice to find out when you're playing a canon that they apparently know an original character that they've NEVER heard of. Just have the consideration for them please? It's only right. You wouldn't want it to happen to you, so please don't do it to them.
Time Frame for Canons
We're excusing FFXV for the most part, but this site is set after the worlds and Gods (Chaos/Cosmos) were destroyed.
RPING in the main Cbox?
Don't do it. We have an ic box for that.
God Modding
"God Modding" is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. And example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RP-ers try.
-It can be killing or injuring a character without the player's express permission. -It can be when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them. -It can also be using other characters that other people RP with. In other words, if you do not RP as Cloud Strife, then you cannot have Cloud Strife say anything, or do anything, without the player's express permission.
The absolute worst is when God modders make out another character to be what they’re not, just to make their own character seem superior. They make others seem weak, screaming for help, when they’ve made it quite clear about their advantages and strengths. This is called power-play. It’s a strain of God-Modding, but instead of just being irritating, it’s offensive to boot.
So don't do it, it's actually a pet hate of the Admin here and will result in you being warned.
MetaGaming
In role-playing games, metagaming is an "out of character" action where a player's character makes use of knowledge that the player is aware of but that the character is not meant to be aware of. Metagaming while taking part in relatively competitive games, or those with a more serious tone, is typically not well received, because a character played by a metagamer does not act in a way that reflects the character's in-game experiences and back-story.
Historically, metagaming in RPGs referred to the traditional military use of metagaming where players applied out-of-game information to gain an unfair advantage in a game, most commonly by reading an adventure module before playing it.
Do. Not. Metagame. Thank you.
IRL Drama
Don't bring it in to your character, if your character acts a certain way play the character, please don't let your own personal drama influence their life/story.
Trolling
In character trolling? Go for it if it's who your character is.
