Aura tried not to look down as he went about his usual morning routine of practicing his stances. It wasn't fun having a fear of heights when he lived in a town that literally lived in tree houses. The boy had tried to convince his grandfather to have them to move to someplace that was situated closer to the ground, but the old man wouldn't listen. Aura loved his grandfather dearly, but the man was the type that was too set in his ways to make change easily. Still Ikaros was a rather peaceful town and Aura didn't have too many troubles ever since the accident as long as he made it a point to not look down when playing or crossing a bridge.
Swinging his arms around in a circle, Aura sighed as he had just finished up with his last stance for the moment. Tiny beads of sweat rolled down his forehead as he paused to consider just what he wanted to do next. Rau hovered over his shoulder as the boy spun around so he could think straight. Ever since the ghost had arrived in his life, Aura tended to get strange looks whenever he stopped to talk to the ghost. Aura never really did mind, but Rau made it a point to make sure that they weren't being watched before stopping the boy to nag at him.
"What should I do today?" Aura mused out loud as he fastened the belt to his gi. With a noticeable skip in his step, Aura bounced forwards and onto a bridge. While the boy technically know what he wanted to do for the day, that fact didn't really matter to him. All that mattered was that he had fun. Looking around for a few moments, Aura hoped to find some people to play with. It didn't really matter who he found to play with him at the moment, but he at least hoped that whoever he found was actually a fun person. Rau wasn't too terrible of company to keep of course, but the ghost was nowhere near close to being a fun person to play with.
"I don't have a physical form so you actually can't play with me," Aura was almost hoping that he could go a day without commentary from the dead guy, but he was never that lucky. After five years Rau had really gotten to know the boy well, and sometimes Aura felt as if the spirit could read his mind. It didn't help that unless Rau actually made himself visible Aura was the only person that could hear the ghost's voice. Of course Aura didn't really think that mind reading was possible, but it still was unnerving at times. Still the boy wasn't dwelling on any of that as he put his full attention on finding a new friend to play with.
